Dental Expert Witnesses provides independent dental expert witness reports to solicitors across England, Wales and Scotland.
We were established in 2026 as part of a group with roots back to 2004. The group has spent two decades supplying medico-legal reports to instructing solicitors across medicine and psychiatry.
Dental Expert Witnesses applies the same model to dentistry: clinicians registered with the regulator for their discipline, matched to the clinical issue in the case, with a named case manager on every instruction.
Dentistry is not one discipline. The author’s expertise must fit the treatment and allegations being considered; an opinion written outside the author’s discipline may not withstand scrutiny when tested.

Under CPR Part 35, the expert’s overriding duty is to the court and overrides any obligation to the instructing or paying party.

Yes. Dentists are registered with the GDC. Oral and maxillofacial surgeons are medically qualified and hold GMC registration. We verify registration and applicable specialist-list status.

An expert instructed by both parties jointly, whose report serves the court rather than either side. The duty to the court is identical to any other instruction.
